Everglades National Park
considered by UNESCO World Heritage Site, covers much of the desert called the Rocky Mountains. It is a reserve sub-tropical plants which include various kinds of temperate or tropical big prairies, mangrove and cypress swamps. It has a diverse and rich marine environment with the focus on alligators and crocodiles, the only place where these two species co-habit. When we got to Alligator Alley started to see the indigenous Indians in their own canoes gliding those innumerable waterways. In the Everglades there are no peaks, mountains or hills to shelter from the strong sun of Florida. Driving through the lush landscape, you will see alligators sunning on the banks of the river but always aware of what is happening around them. When you think that there is no need to place an alligator, do not believe it because they are many and are everywhere. Do not miss a airboat ride in Everglades, it’s a priceless experience. You can find it in Everglades Holiday Park. Throughout this emerald green full of swamps and mangroves proliferate waders and large size as the roseate spoonbill, white herons and storks. It is a stunning landscape with the brown and green of the swamps and the strong blue skies of Florida. The Everglades National Park is the third largest of United States of America, you must visit the park between November and March.
