The eastern part of the peninsula of Massachusetts
is known as Cape Cod. The peninsula reaches 96 km (60 mi) into the ocean. In 1914, the opening of the Cape Cod Canal, the peninsula became an island accessed by bridges. Cape Cod has about 230 000 inhabitants, but in the summer it receives many visitors from New England looking for a pleasant climate and good beaches and the population grows slightly. It’s the New England’s favourite summer holiday area. Don’t miss the beautiful islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Hotels in Cape Cod
