The Lake Te Anau is the gateway to
New Zealand’s South Island Fiordland National Park. The lake is 65 km (40 mi) long and is very important in Maori culture. The lake ecosystem is fragile and visits are limited, for the visit is better to join a tour. The colonies of fireflies became very famous lake in New Zealand. Don’t miss the Waiau River and the Kepler Track. The wonderful Milford Sound is near the lake. Hotels in South Island
