Drac and Isere rivers. Known as “The Capital of Alps”, Grenoble had a famous event in its history, the Day of Tiles in 7th June 1788, when the citizens used the roof tiles as weapons in one of the first actions of French Revolution. Grenoble is an university city with lots of beautiful places to see like the Place Saint-André, the Café de la Table Rond which was established in 1739, is the second oldest café in France and also the Musée de Grenoble.
