Odessa
Odessa is Ukraine’s third largest city
and known as the “Pearl of the Black Sea.” Odessa has a mild climate, sandy beaches and is a major Black Sea resort. It has two very busy ports, oil terminals and a very strong industry. Odessa has a more typical Mediterranean than Slavic. Don’t miss the Krasnaya Hotel of 1899, the Fine Arts Museum, the beautiful baroque façade of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. Odessa is very proud to have been awarded the title of “Hero City” in 1945.
