Albufeira is the most touristic city of Algarve, in southern Portugal.
Albufeira was just a small fishing village but in mid-20th century, the tourism began to make this resort very popular in the UK. Albufeira has a very large concentration of excellent beaches, including the Praia dos Pescadores (Fishermen’s Beach) in the centre, the beach of Olhos d’Agua, Praia dos Salgados, Praia da Galé, Praia da Oura, the Maria Luisa beach and many others. Montechoro and Areias de São João are two areas where there are plenty of hotels. The nights in Albufeira are the most lively of the Algarve, there are dozens of bars and clubs that during the summer months are open until dawn. Hotels in Albufeira
