The Twelve Apostles is a wonderful group
of limestone sea stacks just off the coast of Victoria, Australia. Known as Twelve Apostles since the 1950s, originally was known as “The Sow and her Pigs”. The high seas and the howling winds of the Southern Ocean are eating away at the limestone walls, the remnants of land that was already fallen into the sea. It’s a constant threat, in the winter of 2005, one of them collapsed in few seconds into the sea. The wider are part of Twelve Apostles Marine National Park. You can get this beautiful natural wonder from Melbourne by the Great Ocean Road. Port Campbell, 7 km (4 mi) away, is the nearest town. Hotels in Port Campbell
