Sydney is divided by Port Jackson, north and south are connected by a bridge and a tunnel. Circular Quay is full of boats, water taxis that make the port a place always very busy. It is the classical view of Sydney. The rocks under the bridge is the city’s historic heart, this is where Captain Arthur Phillip established the colony of New South Wales in 1788, making Sydney the first European settlement in Australia. From 1970 this area had a big change with plenty of demolitions that made Sydney one of the favorite tourist destination of the world. It is worthwhile to walk along the Sydney Harbour Bridge enjoying wonderful views over the clear waters. The Opera House designed by Danish architect, Jorn Utzon, is situated on Bennelong Point. Its construction took 16 years to get ready and cost 10 times more than planned but became one of the most famous monuments in the world. Don’t forget to take a boat tour and explore all the harbour.
