Situated in the Gulf of Thailand,

lies the beautiful island of Ko Tao, one of the best world locations for diving and snorkeling. More quiet than the neighboring islands of Ko Samui and Ko Phangan, Ko Tao also has plenty of uncrowded beaches where bathing is possible almost alone. When Ko Samui started to develop, travelers looking for places virgins started going to Ko Phangan but when the full moon party gave visibility to the island, those travelers went to Ko Tao, the smallest of the three islands. Ko Tao has grown but not enough to trigger a wave of mass tourism. There are small coves and beaches that are only accessible by boat. The beautiful coral reefs provide a stunning marine life, the waters are very limpid and deep sea is teeming with perfectly visible multi colored fish. One of the best dive sites of Ko Tao is Sail Rock. It is not necessary dive to be happy in Ko Tao, the beautiful beaches around the island are excellent for a relaxing holiday. Places to stay there for all preferences and prices, from the bamboo bungalow rented to fishermen to luxury resorts. Rent a bike and explore the island by the only existing road.
