In the middle of the Gulf of Thailand,
lies the island of Ko Pha Ngan, north of Ko Samui and south of Ko Tao. About twenty years ago, Ko Pha Ngan was little known, at the time a group of travelers wanted to get away from Ko Samui was beginning to have much tourism and is no longer the paradise it once was. The island became known around the world with a celebration that takes place every month, the Full Moon Party, one of the most famous beach parties in Thailand. On the beach of Haad Rin, a long sandy beach welcomes travelers eager to dance to beats strong in full moon nights. The island is filled with all months in the period of the festival. The economy of Ko Pha Ngan is based on tourism around the island’s stunning beaches of white sand, palm trees beneath a vast tropical plain environment. For these beaches there are hotels of all types, from bungalows to rent to locals and fishermen up to luxury hotels. Ko Pha Ngan is ideal for those who do not want to have as much movement as Ko Samui, an island more and more tourist. The interior of the island is very beautiful, has a National Park is a hilly and varied landscape which includes a famous waterfall.
