The mountain is a huge mass of non-volcanic rock with glaciers in all of its valleys on north and east. The first person to climb Aconcagua, was the English mountaineer, Edward Fitzgerald in 1897. Experts say that technically, Aconcagua is not a difficult mountain to climb, but you need an excellent physical condition and be very careful with the weather. The views of Aconcagua are an indescribable beauty. You can get the Aconcagua from Mendoza by public bus to Puerta del Inca, the nearest town, the journey takes around four hours, the views of Andes before get Aconcagua are amazing. You need a permit to climb Aconcagua and is possible to get it in Mendoza.
