Loch Ness is a deep freshwater lake,
located in the Scottish Highlands. The lake lies in a geological fault called Great Glen, which runs from Inverness to Fort William. The Caledonian Canal connects Loch Ness to Inverness. The Loch Ness is known worldwide due to the alleged monster that inhabits the lake, monster affectionately called “Nessie”. The lake was formed in the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago.
