The Hadrian’s Villa (Villa Adriano) is in ruins
but it is still the greatest example of a Roman garden. Hadrian built this wonderful garden at Tivoli, near Rome. Built in the 2nd century, there are 30 buildings that covers some 100 ha (250 acres) of grottos, pools and beautiful views. In the 1550s the Villa d’Este Gardens were built near Hadrian’s Villa. Both villas are considered World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This two amazing villas are located 30 km (20 mi) east of Rome. Hotels in Rome
