The Campo dei Fiore has this name
because it was once a prairie flowered. It is one of the most beautiful squares of Rome, looks medieval especially in the evening time with terraces and poor light. There is a major morning market running every day except Sunday. The Campo dei Fiore is the only square in Rome that does not have a church. In the middle of the square there is a statue of Giordano Bruno, a philosopher who was burned alive in the square because as Galileo Galilei, asserted that the earth revolved around the sun and not vice versa which was affirmed by the church. The glamorous Piazza Navona is located at walking distance of Campo dei Fiore. Hotels in Rome
