This museum is a veritable handbook on the Renaissance represented with paintings by Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Ticiano, Caravaggio and others. The Galleria degli Uffizi appeared to gather in one place the thirteen principal magistrates (uffizi) in time spread over various parts of Florence. The construction of the “palace” was finished already in leadership of Francis I de Medici, son of Cosimo. This was intended to connect the Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti, using the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio because this palace is situated across the River Arno. There are many rooms of this museum, especially the Tuscany Room of Painting of the eighteenth century, the Room of Protorenascimento, the Filippo Lippi’s Room, the Botticelli’s Room, the Caravaggio’s Room, the Leonardo da Vinci’s room, the Flemish and Dutch Paintings of the seventeenth century Room, the Ticiano’s Room, the Michelangelo’s Room, the Room of the Germans and many others that make this museum one of the best in the world.
