located in the region of Lombardy region. Bergamo is closely linked to Milan due to its proximity to the great metropolis, the third airport of Milan (Orio al Serio) is situated in Bergamo. The city is divided into two parts, the Upper City (Città Alta) and the Lower City (Città Bassa).
