The Tour St Jacques is all
that remains from the church St-Jacques-la-Boucherie in Paris. The late Gothic style tower, built in 1523, is now used as meteorological observatory. The church where the tower previously belonged, was destroyed after the Revolution and marked the spot where the pilgrims departed on their way to Santiago de Compostela. The tower is located on the Place du Châtelet very close the famous Theatre du Châtelet. Hotels in Paris
