The Palais de l’Elysée is an imposing palace
situated in the heart of Paris. It is the official residence of the President of the French Republic since 1873. It was built in 1718, belonged to Madame Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV, who extended the gardens until the Champs-Elysées. The palace is located on the famous Rue du Faubourg-St-Honoré.
