“Port of the Moon” is the historic centre
of Bordeaux, World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2007. It is an architectural ensemble created in the “Age of Enlightment” whose values remain protected. There are three churches on site (Saint Michel, Saint Seurin and Saint Andre Cathedral) in the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. Bordeaux is located in southwest France on the banks of the Garonne River, with access to the Bay of Biscay. Bordeaux is the wine capital, a modern city with strong implementation of the high-tech industry. It is one of the cities in Europe with more 18th century buildings.
