The Picos de Europa mountain range,
is part of the Cantabrian 20 km away from north coast of Spain, between Oviedo and Santander. It was the first national park in Spain, formed in 1918, in 2003 became a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The highest point is Cerredo Tower with 2648 m (8688 ft). Don’t miss the Lakes of Covadonga, two perfect glacial lakes. Picos de Europa has a rich fauna and flora like Iberian linx, wolves, wild boar, wild horses, roe deer and brown bears. The small village of Bulnes is very beautiful.
