Cadiz was one of the first European cities
to be inhabited. Situated in the south of Spain and facing the Atlantic Ocean, Cadiz has a Mediterranean and Atlantic climate . The old part of town called Casco Antigua (Old Town), is a cluster of old neighborhood especially La Vina, Santa Maria and El Populo. The cathedral is one of the most imposing buildings in Cadiz, took 100 years to build and features a great mix of styles. The geography Cadiz do not let the city grow, it seems that Cadiz is a small island connected to the mainland by a small isthmus. The Bay of Cadiz is lovely, the geographical position of the city, made it an important trading port. Cadiz has much tourism. It is the main port city of Spanish Navy.
