Paul da Serra
Paul da Serra is a plateau located within
the island of Madeira. The plateau has an average altitude of 1500 m, the highest point is Pico Ruivo. This plateau acts as a sponge for heavy rains falling on the Madeira, delaying the flow of water to levadas and to the sea.
