It is a monastery Manueline (Portuguese late Gothic)
located in Lisbon, which depicts the discoveries of Portugal. Together with the Belem Tower, is World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is the highlight of Manueline architecture and was built in the 16th century. The monastery was commissioned by King Manuel I, when the Portuguese navigator, Vasco da Gama returned from India. The cloister of the monastery is very beautiful, not to be missed is also the south portal and the axial portal.
