The Lofoten Islands are located
within the Arctic Circle in the west of mainland Norway. Despite its location, the Lofoten have a mild climate because of warm waters of the Gulf Stream. The Lofoten are five main islands (Austvagoy, Gimsoya, Vesthagoy, Flakstadoya and Moskenesoya) and three smaller ones (Vaeroy, Rost and the islet of Vedoy). There are mountains, wooded hillsides, beautiful bays and white sand beaches. Don’t miss the midnight sun. You can get the Lofoten by road via Narvik, by ferry from Bodo or Narvik and by air from Bodo. In midwinter, the sun do not rise for weeks. Hotels in Lofoten
