Magdeburg is a beautiful medieval city
located on the banks of River Elbe in Germany. The first Holy Roman Emperor lived in Magdeburg in 10th century. During the World War II, Magdeburg was destroyed by Allied bombing, only Dresden suffered worst damages. Some old buildings were reconstructed but most were completely destroyed. Magdeburg has a large river port, has industries like metal, textiles, chemicals and food processing.
