Gulf of Kvarner, Croatia. Losinj is a 31 km (19 mi) long narrow island and is not far from Cres, another amazing island in Croatia. The heart of the island is Mali Losinj on the southwest coast, there is a beautiful town on a hill called Umpiljak facing one of the most beautiful harbours of Adriatic. Losinj was under Venetian rule and developed into an important centre for trade. Don’t miss the picturesque town of Veti Losinj. Losinj and Cres are connected by a bridge.
