Linz is an Austrian city situated
on the banks of the Danube (Donau). Eating a Linzer Torte is a must do in Linz, is the world’s oldest cake, whose recipe was written in 1653. Linz is near the border with the Czechia and was always a major industrial center. Mozart was in Linz, and wrote here the Symphony No. 36 (Linz Symphony). Linz is a cultural city with strong ties to the music, the composer Anton Bruckner was an organist at the local church.

Blue Danube Linz Airport (LNZ) – There are flights to/from Munich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Vienna. Buses from the airport to city centre costs 3€, a taxi costs 25/30€.
By Train – There are train connections to/from Vienna and Salzburg.
By Bus – There are buses to/from the main Austrian cities and also to/from Cesky Krumlov in Czechia (19€).
