Xian is the capital of
Shaanxi Province of China. Xian has 3100 years of history, was the capital of China during three dynasties, Chin, Han and Tang. The city lies at the eastern end of the Silk Road and is known worldwide as the place of the Terracotta Army located in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. Until the Ming Dynasty, the city was called Chang’an. After the Terracotta Army discovered in 1974, Xian became one of the most visited cities in China.
