The Great Sandy Desert is located in
northwestern Australia and covers an area of 280,000 sq km (110,000 sq mi). Stretching from Uluru (Ayers Rock), in the southeast, until the coast near Broome, in the northwest. Most of its landscape is made up of red sand dunes. It is very difficult to cross the Great Sandy Desert, there are few settlements and requires a good planning but it is worthy to visit it. It is the second largest desert in Australia after Great Victoria Desert. Hotels in Broome
