South Bank Parklands is the cultural, educational and recreative area of Brisbane. The South Bank Parklands were established on the former site of World Expo 1988 on the southern shore of Brisbane River and is known as one of the most popular attractions of Brisbane. South Bank is home of the Queensland Conservatory, the Street Beach, the Wheel of Brisbane, the Nepal Peace Pagoda, the Griffith University and the Brisbane Cultural Centre which includes the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Queensland Museum, the Science Centre, the Queensland Art Gallery, the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art and the State Library of Queensland.
