Phu Quoc is the largest island of Vietnam.

Is only 15 km (9mi) away from Cambodia coast and the island has been claimed by the Cambodians, this fact led to a permanent military presence that prevented Phu Quoc to develop. It is an island in an almost wild state, with few structures related to tourism, but the landscape is changing and it is expected that tourists arriving in large numbers. This priceless island of Vietnam could soon change with the construction of large hotels and casinos.
