East of Phuket lies the province of Krabi,
which is famous for its beautiful limestone karst formations that create a mystical landscape. The coast has more than 150 islands, great for exploring by sea canoe, kayak sea, or long tail boat, and enjoy the breathtaking views. Centuries ago, this area was a perfect hiding place for pirates because of the many islets and caves to hide. During the boating, sees famous pirate caves, which are now landmarks. The mainland of Krabi has beaches with hotels of all categories and sizes, many of them located in the largest and most beautiful beach, Ao Nang. The peninsula of Krabi is only accessible by boat from the mainland. In the peninsular part of Krabi, are located two of the most famous and stunning beaches Railay and Phra Nang Aa (not to be confused with Ao Nang on the mainland), a beautiful piece of white sand ending with a spectacular limestone cliff at one end, incredible during the sunset. Inside one of the most beautiful caves, is a lagoon called Sa Phra Nang, which can only be accessed by an exterior cliff with a rope descent. The views are worth the effort. The combination of picturesque cliffs and breathtaking landscapes, transformed the peninsula in Krabi a mecca for climbers from around the world. There is a climbing school for those who want to learn or just improve. Krabi is a good place to do daytours to neighboring islands like Ko Podah, Koh Gai or “Chicken Island” named for its shape. There ferries from Krabi to Ko Lanta, Phi Phi Islands and Phuket. Krabi airport has flights from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Ko Samui. Hotels in Krabi
