Arequipa
Arequipa is a city in southern Peru.
Located 1000 km (625 mi) from Lima, Arequipa is in the highlands at the foot of the snow-capped El Misti. Arequipa is known as La Ciudad Blanca (White City). Archaeological remains indicate that the fertile valley of Arequipa has been inhabited since the year 5000 BC.
