Emas National Park is situated in Central Brazil.
Situated in the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, Emas National Park combined with Chapada dos Veadeiros, furth north, it is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The granite plateau is a beautiful cerrado landscape. The park lies between the Amazon and Parana river basins and is the site of the Araguaia, Formosa and Taquari rivers and their tributaries. You can get the park by road from Brasilia (700 km/440 mi) and Goiania (500 km/312 mi). Emas is a portuguese name for rhea. Hotels in Goias State
